Pay Class: Advanced Tab
Settings
- Maximum Work Day Length - This setting determines the longest amount of time a person is expected to work in a day when the shift crosses midnight (or the beginning of day). Normally you should leave this setting at its default of 14:00 hours.
- Maximum Hours Out To Start New Shift - This setting allows the PayClock software to automatically start a new shift for an employee if the qualifier is met. PayClock defaults this setting to 3 hours.
- Day Begins At This Hour - Enter when the day starts. Normally, you should leave this setting at the default of 12:00 AM.
- Shift Applies If First Punch Occurs Within Specified Hours of Start Time - Use this setting to determine whether the assigned shift will be used for calculations. The assigned shift will not be used in the calculations of punches if the employee's first punch of the day occurs before the amount defined of the start of the shift or after the amount defined of the end of shift. Punches will be calculated using the 'Open Shift'.
- Apply Hours to Date Of Out Punch - Select this option if you want the total hours for the day to be applied to the day of the Out punch. Typically this setting would only be used with a shift that crosses midnight.
- Calculate Weekly Overtime By Total Hours - Check this box if you want PayClock to calculate overtime based on all hours rather than just the regular hours. If you choose the Calculate OT by Pay Period box in the Overtime tab, this label changes to Calculate Period OT by Total Hours.
- Daily Overtime Overrides Weekly Overtime - If this box is checked, employees will continue to get daily overtime on the day weekly overtime has been reached.
Options
- Pay Saturday As Overtime Pay Code - If employees get overtime when they work on Saturday, use this setting to select the pay code. Selecting the pay code activates this setting.
- Pay Sunday As Overtime Pay Code - If employees get overtime when they work on Sunday, use this setting to select the pay code. Selecting the pay code activates this setting.
- Use This Holiday Calendar - From the list, select the desired holiday calendar to assign to the pay class. This is only available in the Enterprise version of PayClock Online.
- Apply Rule This Many Day From Hire Date - If employees must work a probation period before they are eligible for holiday pay, enter the amount of days that must be worked from their hire date. If no probation period is required, leave the setting at 0 (zero).
